Unbelievable Optical illusion

I have seen many good optical illusions. Once they are explained, I can see how they are done but this one is unique. I could not believe it even after I read the explanation, until I copied the image to my computer, opened it in an image editor and checked the values of the colors in the two squares.

Guessing the song

Here are three ways to find the song you are looking for:

1. Hum it. This site lets you search for music by humming the tune to it. It records what you are humming, then searches its music database to find the song that matches it. Try Humming Search.
2. Tap it. Here is another one. It tries to guess the song by you just tapping the rhythm on the keyboard. Try Songtapper.
3. Play it. Cingular now offers a service to recognize music you are listening to. Just hold the cell phone up when a song is playing on radio or at a party and the service will identify the song for you. See this story.

Free Anti-virus Software

I have been using AVG anti-virus software. I have always recommended it to my friends. It is not intrusive like Norton or McAfee Anti-virus. Best of all it is free. The current version is 7.1 but this version will be discontinued on January 15, 2007. The new version (7.5) is still free but it is hard to locate from their web site. DVD Rewinder

I sometimes forget to rewind the DVDs before sending them back to NetFlix. I remember the scene in the movie “Serial Mom” where Kathleen Turner Kills a guy because he didn’t rewind the movie before returning it back to the video store. I don’t want that to happen to me.

Thank fully now there is a new device that makes it easy to rewind DVDs.
